- Many women find it difficult to lose weight after having a baby. This study investigated how joining Slimming World can help women to improve their lifestyle and lose excess weight at this time.
- It found that by joining Slimming World, women are able too improve their eating and physical activity habits and lose weight by following a healthy balanced diet.

This poster detailed three pilot referral schemes where people with specific medical conditions (learning difficulties; sleep apnoea; pregnancy) were targeted.
- This poster shows that these referral schemes have been successful at improving health and reducing health risks associated with these medical conditions by successfully enabling patients to manage weight.

- This paper evaluated the use of Slimming World on Referral to help patients with sleep apnoea manage their weight and symptoms of the condition.
- It was found that a significant proportion of patients enrolled attend more than half the available sessions and the average weight loss for the group was 8.6Kg or 7% of body weight at 12 weeks. This elicited a reduction in the group Epworth Sleepiness Score from 7.0 to 5.9 (Nine patients reduced their ESS by 2 or more points).
